Social Bookmarking
A social bookmarking service allows you to store, organize and share your bookmarks. Through your browser you save a link to a selected website, including the URL, a title, a description, and a set of tags or keywords. Sometimes you can even save specific clippings of text or images. There is no pre-established set of tags you must use. Instead, you make your own decisions about how you want to categorize and organize your bookmarks. Other users are doing the same thing with their bookmark lists.
The information is stored on a public server so that you can visit your collection from different browsers and from different computers. More importantly, as a public resource, users can share each others' bookmarks and search through tags or interest groups for additional resources.
